The Faculty Library

The Faculty Library is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8am to 3pm, Wednesdays 8am to 5pm and closed at the weekends. The Library, its materials, and facilities are available for use to members only, but Summer School participants can enter and use all books and reviews free of charge inside the Library. It is also possible to purchase one month’s membership for a small fee (€3.30), which will allow participants to take out books and reviews.

The National University Library is the main library for students of the University of Ljubljana. It is in the city centre at Turjaška ulica 1. The library can be used by anyone possessing a student card and an identity card or passport. 

 

Copy Shop FORA

There is a copy shop on campus, open from 08.00 to 16.00 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 08.00 to 17.00 on Wednesday.

 

Study Areas

Please note that in addition to accommodation rooms and the Library, Rooms 7 (quiet room) and 2 (discussion and team work room) are available for use by Summer School participants. Free wireless connection is available throughout the building and computers with internet connection can be found in the computer rooms (24, 25, 26, 27). Please note, that when the computer labs are full, priority access should be given to those needing to use the computers for a scientific purpose (e.g. linked to the Summer School courses). Participants are asked to adopt this code of good conduct, as a courtesy to the other participants. 

 

Eating Out

Eating Out The influences of East, West, North and South have mingled in Slovenia, a phenomenon reflected in the country’s traditional dishes. Ljubljana offers a great variety of cuisine to suit all budgets. Most restaurants serve food until 23.30 and some continue until early in the morning. There are numerous ethnic restaurants, including Chinese, Italian, Mexican and Spanish. Eating near the Faculty: Self-Service Restaurant Šumi is conveniently located on the ground floor of the Faculty of Social Sciences and offers a variety of inexpensive lunches on weekdays only opening hours from 06:00 to approximately 15:00. Bistro Barbado, Dunajska 106 is open until 17:00 on weekdays. Self-Service Restaurant Glažuta, Dunajska 119. Self-Service Restaurant Mercator, Dunajska cesta 107.
