Special prices for SSMT participants

The ECPR has negotiated discounts for Summer School participants with three centrally located budget hotels, the Dormitory Djaski Dom Bezigrad, Hotel and Hostel Park and Hostel 24. Details for all three are below.

Also below are some other suggestions for low-cost accommodation, all in the city centre and within easy reach of the University.

Dormitory Dijaski Dom Bezigrad Ljubljana – Special Offer for Summer School Participants

Dijaski Dom Bezigrad (DDB) is situated in the grounds of the University of Ljubljana, 200 metres away from the Faculty of Social Sciences, a 20-minute walk from the main railway station and the city centre, and five minutes from the bank, post office, grocery store, bars and restaurants. It is easily accessible by public transport and surrounded by a small park.

Hotel and Hostel Park Ljubljana – Special Offer for Summer School Participants

Hotel Park Ljubljana is in the city, near Ljubljana Castle, close to the city market, the famous Dragon Bridge and main city square. Rooms are available in Hotel Park and Hostel Park for ECPR participants as follows:

All rates are inclusive of self-service breakfast, VAT, wireless internet connection in all rooms, air conditioning in superior rooms, safe deposit box at the reception. All rates are valid with minimum stay of five nights. If guest stay less than five nights the price can rise.

City tax is not included in price. Supplement for city tax is €1,01 per person per night.

Hostel 24 – Special Offer for Summer School Participants

Hostel 24 is family run hostel over three locations in Ljubljana. If you want to stay near the city centre your option is Hostel 24 which is based at Poljanska cesta 15 (10 min from central station). If you prefer to stay closer to the Faculty of Social Sciences you should opt for Hostel24/2 which is located at Maroltova ulica 10, which is 10 min away. The prices start from €12,99 and depend on the room size and number of beds. The price includes free WiFi, towels and linen. They offer special 10% discount for participants of the SSMT. Fluxus Hostel

Fluxus Hostel based near the bus and train station, Fluxus has a TV and DVD in the shared kitchen, and free WiFi. Please note that if you arrive more than two hours after your agreed check-in time, Fluxus will cancel your booking. Price per person is from €18 per night. Hostel Celica

Hostel Celica is a converted prison, in a central location with lively evening events.

Prices are per person per night and include buffet breakfast, sheets & towels, WiFi, VAT and tourist tax. If you don’t want to share a room you can pay for the unoccupied beds at a nightly rate minus €3 discount per bed.  Guests pay a €10 deposit on arrival. Group leaders collect deposits for the whole group. Deposits are returned before departure if house rules were respected and sheets were returned to reception.

Please note: cancellations no later than two days before arrival. Non-arrival by agreed time will result in the cancellation of your reservation. AdHoc Hostel

AdHoc Hostel is located in the very heart of the Old Town at affordable prices which start from €20. Price includes linen, VAT, internet, use of TV room and kitchenette.  Tourist tax is €1.265 per person per night. Key deposit is €10 and they rent towels for €2 with €5 deposit. Most Hostel

Most Hostel is located by the Dragon Bridge on the Ljubljanica river. Prices per person from €15, depending how many share. Tourist tax of €1,01 per person per night is not included. Twin, double ensuite, double with shared bathroom or four-bed dormitories are available, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, TV, free internet access.  The room rate also includes free rent of URBANA public transport card (normally €2).

Reception open 08:00–23:00. Check-in from 15:00; check-out before 10:00, although you can contact the Hostel to arrange a night-time check-in.

The Most Hostel address is Petkovskovo nabrezje 41, but check-in is at Petkovskovo nabrezje 47 (just two houses ahead). Cancellations accepted up to 24 hours before check-in with no charge. Cash only. Please visit their website for more information.

Villa Veselova

Villa Veselova offers four mixed dorms for either 2, 4, 6 or 8 people; one 4-bed apartment and a twin private room. The Villa is clean and creatively designed, with lockers for your belongings, a social room with satellite TV and free WiFi. Most rooms are air-conditioned.

Tresor Hostel

Opened in 2013, Hostel Tresor is located in the centre of Ljubljana. Housed in a Vienna Secession building, it offers free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms.

Dormitory rooms have been rearranged into smaller sections in order to provide more intimacy. One shared male bathroom and one shared female bathroom can be found on each floor.  Guests can relax in two common living areas and a dining area. A grocery shop is in the same building, while a restaurant serving local and international dishes is 50 metres away.
