Phishing and scam emails

We have been made aware of phishing scam emails being sent to attendees of our events. These emails are attempting to collect personal details and payment information under the guise of offering travel arrangements or other event-related services.

If you have any queries, please contact our Events Team.

What you should know

Be cautious of unsolicited emails

If you receive an email about travel arrangements or event services that you did not specifically inquire about, please do not respond to it.

Verify the source

Even if the email appears to be legitimate, exercise caution. Scammers often make their emails look professional to deceive recipients.

There have been emails sent from a false company called Global Travel Experts. Emails are being sent from accounts such as reservations@gtravelexpert.com and operations@gtravelservice.com. This is not a legitimate travel site, and you should be cautious of them. Please keep a lookout for any similar emails since these are not the only two emails used for scamming.

Take action

If you receive a suspicious email:

  • Do not click on any links or download attachments.
  • Block and report the sender.
Safe practice
  • Only respond to travel-related emails that you have personally initiated or confirmed through trusted and official sources.
  • The safety of our attendees is our top priority, and we are actively working to ensure a secure experience for everyone involved at the 2025 General Conference.
