Abstract
No interest group is an island. The existence of cooperation structures that join (transnational) umbrella organisations and (national) member groups raise important questions, for instance about access inequality, power and the distribution of labour, or the impact of membership and professionalization. This panel discusses umbrella organisations and their members from several vantage points.
