University of Nottingham Ningbo (UNNC) was founded in 2004 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is the first Sino-foreign cooperative university in China that possesses an independent legal personality and independent campus, providing bachelor's, master's, and doctoral education. The number of enrolled students is nearly 10,000, and teachers and students come from more than 70 countries and regions. UNNC has been recognized as a 5-star institution by QS Stars Rating and is one of the first Chinese-foreign cooperative universities to have a national postdoctoral research station. Seven subjects were listed among the world's top academic subjects by Shanghai Ranking in 2024. Five subjects ranked within the top 1% of global rankings of Essential Science Indicators (ESI), and over 40 UNNC scholars were listed in "World's Top 2% Scientists" published by Stanford University and Elsevier.

Being one of only three full-fledged political science departments in Austria, Political Science at the University of Salzburg offers particular strengths in environmental policy, international trade policy and political economy, political thought as well as a comparative focus on Austria in its European and international context. Unique among Austrian academic institutions is the Department’s affiliation with the Salzburg Center of European Union Studies – designated a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in 2008 - , most of whose faculty are also members in Political Science. Being comprehensive in nature, Political Science at the University of Salzburg offers the full range of academic training from the B.A. to the Ph.D.. In 2005 the Master program in European Union Studies was launched, offering an interdisciplinary education in European Politics, European Union law, economics and European history. Faculty members regularly publish in leading, peer-reviewed journals in the discipline and have also produced a substantial number of monographs and edited volumes. Social science research at Siegen University defines and investigates new frontiers in the field and covers the main social and political developments across Germany, Europe and the globe. The Department of Social Sciences is characterized by its interdisciplinary focus, its combination of fundamental and applied research, and the study of macro and micro constellations. Our research focuses on building knowledge in the following areas: Europe, Global Change and International Relations; Media and Politics; Migration and Mobility in a European and Global Perspective; Political Education and Educational Sociology; Political Sociology; Social Problems, Health-, and Social Policy and Social Structure Analysis. The Department of Social Sciences at Siegen University is committed to high-quality undergraduate and graduate teaching in all of the social sciences. Our interdisciplinary areas of expertise include political science and sociology and maintain close links to other subjects, such as history, social work, educational studies, and media studies. We pride ourselves on providing students with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience with theories and methods and to apply academic concepts to contemporary real-world issues. More than 60 scientists (including 15 professors) teach and conduct research within our department. We offer studies in social sciences for undergraduate students via our BA in Social Sciences and for graduate students via our MA in Social Sciences. Additionally, we offer various undergraduate and graduate teaching-study programs.
