Important update on our 2022 Joint Sessions of Workshops

Five years after we last organised our Joint Sessions of Workshops in the UK and 19 years since it was held in the Scottish capital, we are delighted to be bringing ECPR’s defining event to the University of Edinburgh in April 2022.

What’s more, our friend – The Political Studies Association (PSA) – will be hosting its Annual Conference at the University of York and online from 11–13 April. This provides a rare and valuable opportunity for the scholarly community, particularly that of the UK, to attend not one, but two industry leading events on ‘home turf’.

Following two fully virtual Joint Sessions and many months of mostly online exchanges, we know how eager and excited scholars are to finally be meeting face-to-face. We felt that in order to maximise opportunities for them to do so, it was crucial that we revisited the initially planned dates for the Joint Sessions which would have otherwise coincided with the PSA Annual Conference.

It is with this mind that we have made the decision to shift next year’s Joint Sessions by one week, now planned to be held from 19–22 April 2022.

What this means to you
