About

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Central Department of Methodology at the Europa-Universität Flensburg, Germany. I received a PhD in Political Science from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE, 2023). During my PhD, I was a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford (2022). My research focuses on distributive politics and multilevel dynamics of public policy, and it seeks to improve our understanding of how and under which conditions distributive politics can generate positive collective effects. My primary region of interest is Latin America, focusing on Brazilian municipalities. Before receiving my PhD, I earned a master’s degree in political science (Democracy and Political Institutions) at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Recife, Brazil) and also a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in International Relations from the same university.
