I am Professor of International Politics at the University of Salzburg (Austria). My research interests are in the areas of International Political Economy, International Relations and European Union politics. More specifically, most of my research has focused on trade policy, interest group influence, public opinion, and international negotiations. Among my recent publications are Trade Cooperation: The Purpose, Design and Effects of Preferential Trade Agreements (Cambridge University Press, 2015, with Manfred Elsig), Insiders versus Outsiders: Interest Group Politics in Multilevel Europe (Oxford University Press, 2016, with Gemma Mateo), and The Political Influence of Business in the European Union (University of Michigan Press, 2019, with David Marshall and Patrick Bernhagen).
