About

Elke Heins is Senior Lecturer in Social Policy at the School of Social and Political Science, University of Edinburgh. She is a graduate of the University of Mannheim and has a PhD in Political and Social Science from the European University Institute in Florence. Her research interests mainly focus on comparative and European social policy as well as the politics of welfare and wellbeing in the UK. She has recently co-edited the book 'European Futures: Challenges and Crossroads for the European Union of 2050" (Routledge).
