About

I am an assistant professor in political science at the Department of Political, Social and Communicational sciences, Université de Namur. From December 2016 to August 2017, I was a Marie-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford (UK). During 2015-2017, I was part-time lecturer and F.R.S.-FNRS postdoctoral researcher at the Université catholique de Louvain and at the Université de Liège (Belgium). Before that, I was visiting researcher at the University of Edinburgh (UK), the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain). My research areas cover the study of political representation in European multi-level democracies, MEPs/MPs’ political career and legislative behavior, local, regional and federal studies while I developed a specific interest in mixed-method research designs. Under F.R.S.-FNRS funding, I am currently the PI of the "Evolv’EP – MEPs Behavior project" and the "IntraPartyComp project". Before that, I was involved in several collaborative research projects on these topics, including Belgian Exist Poll 2018, Local Party Offer 2012 & 2018, PartiRep II, Pathways, European Mayor, and ADAPOV. My research was rewarded with the David Constant Medal of Excellence (2010), the John Burton Prize (2011), the Julie Dehay Prize (2012), the Rotary International (2013), and the ABSP prize for the best conference paper (2015). I was also a nominee for the Rudolf Wildenmann Prize (2018) and Regional and federal studies’ best article of the year (2019). My work appears in journals such as West European Politics, Party Politics, American Behavioral Scientist, Local Government Studies, Publius: Journal of Federalism; Regional & Federal Studies, Government & Opposition, and Representation.
