Verena Wisthaler is a senior researcher at EURAC Research and external lecturer at the University of Innsbruck. Previously she was a post-doc researcher at the University of Neuchâtel, within the SNSF project NCCR on the move – the migration-mobility nexus. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Leicester (2016). During her PhD she was visiting researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, the University of Corte (FR) and the University of Edinburgh (UK). Her research focusses on immigrant integration at the regional and local level. She has published in JEMS, Studies in Ethnicity and Nationalism, Regional and Federal Studies, Regional Studies, Politika etc. Her PhD has been awarded the 2017 ECPR Jean Blondel PhD Prize.
