About

I am a senior lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Politics, East European Studies and Research Methods at the Department of Political Science, University of Vienna, and an associated researcher and lecturer in Interdisciplinary Research Methods and Peace and Conflict Studies at the Centre for Southeast European Studies, University of Graz. Alongside my work as a lecturer and researcher, I am holding workshops and courses for children and youth on education for peace and social change. I am also actively involved in campaigns and initiatives for global justice, human rights, environmental protection and climate action. My main research interests are peace-building and conflict transformation, local flashpoints, divided societies, hegemony, power relations, governance, nationalism, social justice, youth activism and participation, social media, international politics, globalisation, alternative economics, climate change and system change. My country focus is Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, South Africa, and my regional focus is on the Western Balkans, the Middle East and the EU. I have published on issues of peace and conflict, power, populist movements and crises of democracy and capitalism, including a book, chapters in edited volumes, journal articles, working papers, policy reports and comments in online news media and research blogs.
