About Pisa

Pisa, a former maritime republic, is one of the most charming towns in Italy.  It is world famous for the Leaning Tower, which stands in the magnificent Piazza dei Miracoli.  The river Arno runs through the town, which is only a few kilometres from the sea and yet also close to the hills.
