Elena Aoun is an Assistant Professor in International Relations at the Université catholique de Louvain (Mons Campus). She holds a PhD from Science Po Paris and has spent two years as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for European Studies at the University of Montreal and McGill University. Her main research interests revolve around EU foreign policy, the conflicts and crises in the Middle East and the EU involvement in that region. She has also worked and written on security issues, the Arab-Israeli conflict and international criminal justice. Elena Aoun is member of the GERMAC (Study and research group on the Contemporary Arab World), a group within the CECRI (Center for the study of international crises and conflicts). |

Pierre Baudewyns holds history and political science degrees from the Université catholique de Louvain, where he teaches political science and political sociology. His research interest topic concerns political behavior among the masses and elites in Belgium and Europe. He has published in Electoral Studies, West European Politics, Comparative European Politics, Regional and Federal Studies and Revue Internationale de Politique Comparée. He is currently co-director of Belgian National Election Studies (the French-speaking part) and General Secretary of the Revue Internationale de Politique Comparée. | |
Min Reuchamps is Professor of Political Science at the Université catholique de Louvain. He graduated from the Université de Liège (Belgium) and from Boston University (USA). His teaching and research interests are federalism and multi-level governance, democracy and its different dimensions, relations between language(s) and politics and in particular the role of metaphors, as well as participatory and deliberative methods. He has published a dozen books on these topics and his works have appeared in several international journals. With the professors Nathalie Schiffino-Leclercq, Pierre Baudewyns, Ella Hamonic and Vincent Legrand, he has brought into life the MOOC "Découvrir la science politique" (Discovering politican science - Louv3x), on-line course, freely available around the world via the plateform edx.org. This course is one of the finalists of the first-ever edX Prize for Exceptional Contributions in Online Teaching and Learning. He is currently the President of the French-speaking Belgian association for political science (ABSP) and the coordinator of the methodology & research cel of the G1000, a citizens initiative promoting deliberative democracy. |
