Assistant Professor Karol Chwedczuk-Szulc holds a PhD in political science and an MA in sociology and international relations. His current research focus is primarily on EU-US comparative studies. Karol was a research fellow at the American University in Washington DC in 2015/2016. His latest publications discuss the potential of social constructivism in forecasting, EU-US comparative studies, and the future of the European Union. | |
Jakub Grudniewski is Head of Convention Bureau – Wrocław, a non-profit organisation which supports the meetings industry and promotes Wrocław as a business tourism destination. His academic background in international relations and business law has allowed the bureau to attract and manage various conferences, congresses and other events. Convention Bureau – Wrocław has been involved in the most important activities in the city such as the Polish Presidency of the EU Council, Wrocław Global Forum (2010–2016), European Culture Congress 2011, UEFA Euro 2012TM, European Capital of Culture 2016, European Film Awards 2016, the World Games 2017, IFLA World Libraries and Information Congress 2017, and many more. | |
Agnieszka Makarewicz-Marcinkiewicz is an Assistant Professor of Political Science in the Department of Economic and Social Policy. Her main research interests concern sustainable development (monograph: Determinants of social sustainable development policy: syndicalism, corporate social responsibility, controlled economic growth, 2014); new social inequalities (monograph: Social inequalities on the way to sustainable development: the problem of social and economic policy, 2015); political economy (monograph: New economy: political determinants and social consequences, 2013); and social investments. She has published in, among others, Problems of Sustainable Development and the International Journal of Sustainable Development & World Ecology. | |
Since 2010, Michał Kuś has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Journalism. His research focuses on media systems, with special attention on media control, ownership and deregulation, relations between media and politics and political communication. He is a project leader for the Polish part of the European Journalism Observatory project. |
