Know Before You Go

We've created this handy guide to help you every step of your conference experience – from uploading your Paper, to joining online, to making the most of your participation. Please make sure to review this guide carefully before the event starts.

Get started

Good to know
  • Please ensure your Paper is uploaded via your My ECPR account in time for the Conference
  • Only the person listed as Presenter can upload the Paper
  • Papers should be uploaded in PDF format, in English
  • Once uploaded, your Paper will be discoverable only for users who are signed into My ECPR accounts
To upload your Paper
  1. Go to My Events in your My ECPR account
  2. Click Full details under 'Standing Group 10th Conference of the SGEU, Virtual Event (2021)'
  3. Ensure you have selected the tab entitled MY PAPER PROPOSALS, then click Manage Paper > Browse > Select your Paper > Open/OK > Upload
  4. Click View Document to ensure that it has been uploaded successfully
  5. You can also use this facility to replace your Paper or remove it after the event

  • We've automatically added all Plenary events and the SGEU General Assembly, as well the sessions in which you have a role, to your Itinerary
  • Your itinerary is visible through ourvirtual event platform
  • Times are displayed in Central European Summer Time (CEST)

The Conference will run on the Zoom platform.

Before joining, familiarise yourself with features you may need – mute / unmute microphone, stop/start video, share screen, naming / renaming yourself, chat and 'raise hand'.

One really important thing to remember is to ensure you are logged into your My ECPR account using the same email address as the one you have registered to the Conference with.

Don't forget
  • If you are happy to be identified, make sure your name is clearly indicated in Zoom.
  • If you want other people to see you, keep your camera on.

 

Get online

  • Find the session in your Itinerary via the virtual event platform
  • Click the 'Join Meeting' button which will appear 15 minutes before the start time
  • Simply follow Zoom prompts to get connected
  • Remember: times are shown in CEST

Notice of photography/filming

ECPR may record all events in the form of photography, screen capture, filming, and audio recording of interactions such as discussions during the plenary sessions. This media may be used by us to promote ECPR activities. These activities may include publishing it at ecpr.eu, or using it in digital and email marketing, on social media, and in other promotional materials.

If you or any other participant want to take a screen capture for personal use, such as sharing on social media, you / they should request permission from the Panel / Session Chair.
