Publications at ECPR

Publishing the very best new thinking in the field is a key part of our mission at ECPR. Not only does this advance the discipline as a whole, but it provides opportunities for scholars within our community to both read and publish cutting edge new research, thus enhancing their own careers.

Our publishing programme is broad and diverse across a range of media, from highly cited research and professional journals to well-established book series and a blog platform sharing topical news and analyses within and beyond academe. We work in partnership with several of the world’s leading academic and university presses; these collaborations enable us to remain at the cutting edge of scholarly publishing and in turn continue to meet the ever-changing needs of our members.

Many of our publications have selected article collections to highlight and/or make free to read specially for the Joint Sessions, which you can find elsewhere in the Expo!

@EJPRjournal

European Journal of Political Research (EJPR) is the ECPR's longest-running journal and is consistently one of the highest ranking journals in the discipline. EJPR publishes original and substantial contributions to the study of comparative European politics, specialising in theoretically or methodologically original articles articulating conceptual and comparative perspectives with a broad theoretical relevance, speaking to different academic literatures on a variety of sub-fields and topics.

@pdyearbook

The Political Data Yearbook (PDY) featured at the end of each volume of EJPR, contains comprehensive and authoritative data and analysis of electoral results, national referenda, changes in government, and institutional reforms for a range of countries, with commentary from recognised experts. Its online version, PDY:interactive (PDYi) is a unique data source building on the PDY content, which is freely available to the profession.

@EuroJournIR

The European Journal of International Relations (EJIR) publishes peer-reviewed scholarly contributions across the full breadth of the field of international relations, from cutting-edge theoretical debates to topics of contemporary and historical interest to scholars and practitioners in the IR community. The EJIR warmly embraces genuinely interdisciplinary scholarship that actively engages with the broad debates taking place across the contemporary field of international relations.

@epsrjournal

European Political Science Review (EPSR) publishes high quality scholarly research in political science, focusing on the most important debates in the discipline. and demonstrating the highest possible standards in conceptualisation, theorisation and methodology. EPSR is not concerned solely with European political issues, nor is it conceived as exclusively for European scholars, publishing submissions dealing with global issues and non-European topics.

@EPSjournal

European Political Science (EPS) is the professional journal of the ECPR, devoted to publishing contributions by and for the political science community. Its interpretation of 'political science' is wide and encompasses comparative politics, political economy, international relations, public administration, political theory, European studies and related disciplines. It publishes pieces on how the discipline is, can and ought to be.

@ECPR_TheLoop

The Loop is ECPR's cutting-edge political science blog, publishing short pieces on politics, policy programmes, societal and political issues, and showcasing the work of the political science discipline at its best. The readership extends beyond political scientists, to include policy-makers, journalists, businesspeople and the general public.

Founded in 1990, the Comparative Politics Series is a series of long-lasting repute. It is devoted to the comparative study of contemporary government and politics, with a specific interest in the comparative domestic politics of institutions and political actors. Global in scope, books in the Series are characterised by a stress on comparative analysis and strong methodological rigour.

Political Research Exchange (PRX) is the ECPR's first Open Access journal and offers a dynamic platform to advance research, innovation and debate across the breadth of political science. It welcomes significant theoretical, methodological, and empirical contributions from all fields, including comparative politics, international politics/international relations, political communication, political sociology, political thought, public administration, and interdisciplinary work with a predominantly political dimension.

The ECPR’s publishing arm, ECPR Press, publishes cutting-edge research across all fields of political science, international relations and political thought, without restriction in approach or regional focus. The Press is also open to interdisciplinary work with a predominant political dimension.
