Phishing and Scam emails

Phishing scam emails have been circulating that target attendees of our Joint Sessions of Workshops event. In recent years, this type of scamming has become more widespread and has caused increasing problems for conference participants, with messages attempting to collect personal details and payment information under the guise of offering travel arrangements or other event-related services.

If you have any queries, please contact our Events Team.

What you should know

Be cautious of unsolicited emails

If you receive an email about travel arrangements or event services that you did not specifically inquire about, please do not respond to it.

Verify the source

Even if the email appears to be legitimate, exercise caution. Scammers often make their emails look professional to deceive recipients.

Take action

If you receive a suspicious email:

  • Do not click on any links or download attachments.
  • Block and report the sender.

Safe practice

  • Only respond to travel-related emails that you have personally initiated or confirmed through trusted and official sources.
  • The safety of our attendees is our top priority, and we are actively working to ensure a secure experience for everyone involved in the Joint Sessions.
