Self-Catering Accommodation for the Winter School

The local organising team have identified a number of self-catering apartments taht would be suitable for groups of Winter School participants and have negotiated a special rate. 

Apartments Tocklergasse and Egelseestraße

Tocklergasse: Located in the calm, romantic part of Bamberg known as the ‘Gardeners Quarter’. Only six minutes’ walk to the city centre and 10 minutes to the central bus stop (ZOB), bars, cafés, shops and some of the most beautiful World Heritage sights of Bamberg. 

Egelseestraße: Located in the calm brewery quarter known as ‘Wunderburg’, close to different beer gardens of local breweries. Only eight minutes’ walk along the beautiful canal to the city centre and the central bus stop (ZOB), bars, cafés, shops and some of the most beautiful World Heritage sights of Bamberg.

The bus from the central bus station (ZOB) to the faculty takes from 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the service. There's one express service (931), normal ones (901, 907, 914) and a slower one driving a non-direct route (915). City Centre Bus Map

Second floor, sleeps six, 72m².

Three bedrooms with single beds and TVs, bathroom with shower, kitchen with cooking facilities including microwave, Wi-Fi and roof terrace. Free parking nearby. No smoking (only on terrace) and no pets.

Ground floor, sleeps six, 77m².

Two bedrooms with double beds (1.4m x 2m) plus a double sofa bed (1.4m x 2m), a living room, kitchen with cooking facilities, bathroom with bath tub, back yard / terrace. Free parking spaces nearby. No smoking (only in yard / terrace), no Wi-Fi available and no pets.

Tocklergasse 11

Three apartments: ground, first and second floor, sleeps 18 (whole house) or six in each apartment. 52m² to 58m².

Each apartment has one bedroom with a double bed (1.8m x 2m), one bedroom with two single beds and a sofa bed (1.5m x 2m), bathroom with shower, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, kitchen with cooking facilities, dishwasher, balcony and garden.

All apartments include bed linen and towels, free parking nearby, French and English speaking hosts (Egelseestraße, English only). Smoking is only permitted outside on balcony, terrace or garden and no pets are allowed.
