Accommodation Offers and Information

The local organising team at the University of Bamberg have recommended a broad variety of accommodation options for the duration of your stay at the Winter School. You can choose from a self-catering apartment (for groups of up to six and a maximum of 18 people per group), a variety of hotels in the city and a specially discounted rate at a high standard youth hostel. Youth Hostel 'Am Kaulberg'

Winter School participants qualify for a special reduced rate with Youth Hostel ‘Am Kaulberg’. The Youth Hostel is located in the historic city centre, and is above average standard. The hostel is offering WSMT participants a €5 per night discount off their standard 2015 prices. Due to the University of Bamberg’s membership with the German Youth Hostel Organisation, Winter School participants do not need to be a member to take advantage of this offer.

Hotels in Bamberg 

Seven hotels have been recommended by the local orgnanisers offering a broad range of accommodation, location and price. Whether you prefer a quiet ambience or a lively location we hope you can find a hotel to meet your needs. Plus there is a central booking page where you can search availability for one of these hotels and make a booking.

Self-catering Apartments

If you would like to stay with friends or colleagues you can book an apartment for up to six people per apartment or a whole house for up to 18 people (three apartments).  All apartments are close to the city centre and main bus station.
