Abstract

The panel will discuss the nature of different types of differentiated integration (DI), mapping their empirical use and their political implications. The four papers will analyze multi-speed, multi-, and multi-menu models of DI (Chiocchetti), support for out-outs (Morland), discriminatory and informal opt-outs (Telle), and accession conditionality (Kakarnias).
