Abstract

This panel will consist of papers that investigate the links between right-wing extremism and political violence, broadly defined. The panel aims to attract papers that engage with a range of issues, including recruitment into extremist groups, the effects of social media on right-wing recruitment/extremism, the dynamics of right-wing extremism, radicalisation into extremist violence, de-radicalising right-wing extremists, etc. The panel is also open to exploring violent and non-violent extremism, as well as comparisons between right-wing and other types of extremist groups (e.g., Islamic, separatist, left-wing, etc). Finally, case studies will be welcomed on this panel.
