Abstract

The panel consists of several empirical contributions whose silver line is coal industry and the future of coal-mining regions. It includes a predictive study of the global coal fleet retirement, researches on narratives of (in)justice and participation patterns in German coal phase-out, a deep dive into the roots of public resistance to coal phase-out in the Czech Republic, or a research framework-developing study that combines Energy Justice approaches with spatial analysis.
