Energy security has climbed to the top of political agendas following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February this year. However, the geopolitical perspective is not the only way of approaching this important topic. The panel gathers a variety of contributions, looking at energy security problems across scales, sectors, and regions. Authors representing different social scientific traditions engage with the problem of energy security using a variety of methodologies, and tracing security issues in relation to coal, oil, gas, as well as renewables.
