Abstract

Tangible changes have been made towards the realization of gender equality in many areas, but real equality is still far from being achieved and resistance to equality has also increased dramatically. Paying attention to historically entrenched ideas, institutionalized norms and actors - such as (anti)feminists and the LGBTQI+ movement, business power - this panel provides explanations for different changes within gender regimes or identify potential policy instruments that could introduce gender transformations.
