Abstract

This panel brings together current and former editors of different presses and experienced book authors to discuss the process, challenges and benefits of writing and publishing books in the field of comparative politics. It will cover practical challenges, such as balancing book writing with the pressures of pursuing an academic career, as well as formal issues such as the requirements for publishing with different presses. The panel is particularly valuable to scholars contemplating whether to write a monograph, or those looking for a suitable outlet for a current book project.
