Abstract

This papers in this panel consider how new and emerging technologies intrude upon citizens' freedom and enable novel forms of systemic domination. Topics covered include social pressures to use social media and AI, domination through police surveillance, domination of future generations, the dangers to freedom of predictive technologies and how the rise of digital technology undermines the open society.
