Digital spaces have become integral to our daily lives, shaping how we communicate, engage, and mobilize. The disruption caused by digital technology has already happened, and the means and cultures of far-right agitation are that of a post-digital society. Significant technological developments, like the mass-access to generative AI has further facilitated the production and dissemination of far-right ideologies and cultural artifacts, seamlessly integrating them into the fabric of online discourse. This panel seeks to critically examine the dynamics of far-right agitation within this post-digital framework. The panel includes contributions that focus on the role of alternative platforms and networks, as well as on the use of mainstream social media - especially Twitter/X to further far-right aesthetics and viewpoints. We aim to uncover the mechanisms through which everyday extremism manifests in digital spaces, and how these spaces mediate political expression. Our interdisciplinary approach draws from linguistics, social movement studies, and the analysis of far-right cultures, providing a comprehensive understanding of how these movements operate within an evolving social media ecosystem. Through this exploration, we will illuminate the ways in which digital platforms serve as key arenas for the normalization and proliferation of far-right ideologies, highlighting the implications for society at large. By engaging with diverse perspectives, this panel will contribute to a deeper understanding of the intersection between technology, culture, and extremism in contemporary society.
