Abstract

This panel seeks to explore the multifaceted connection between women and extremism, presenting critical papers that examine the complex interplay between gender, extremism, and political discourse. Papers in this panel highlight the roles women play within far-right and extremist movements, both in being part of movements and being victimised by them. Together, these papers contribute to a nuanced understanding of how women engage with, resist, and are shaped by extremist ideologies, challenging traditional narratives and highlighting the ongoing need for a gendered analysis of extremism.
