Abstract

Rainer Quitzow and Yana Zabanova will present the main findings from two edited volumes on the Geopolitics of Hydrogen. Volume 1 on "European Strategies in Global Perspective" examines Europe's position within the global hydrogen economy and analyzes domestic and international hydrogen policy in the EU and key Member States. It discusses key political fault lines within the EU and discusses their implications for the emerging geopolitics of hydrogen. (Reference: https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-59515-8) Volume 2 on "Major Economies and their Strategies" offers a comprehensive analysis of hydrogen strategies in major economiies and their underlying economic and political drivers. It contextualizes these strategies within the changing geopolitical landscape and highlights the major dimensions of geoeconomic rivarly that are shaping the emerging hydrogen economy.
