Abstract

In light of the current international situation, there is a reorientation within the EU towards seeing itself as a geopolitical actor. This is likely to have consequences for countries with close ties to the EU. This panel explores how this geopolitical turn impacts third countries’ relations to the EU. The papers discuss how the shift in the international context influences perceptions of these relations, how they are politicised, and how they work in practice.
