This panel investigates gender dynamics among far-right parties and voters, focusing on Austria, Germany, France and Argentina, and cross-nationally on European countries. The papers analyze existing or originally collected survey data, including open text answers and a survey experiment. The papers investigate (1) the role of antifeminist attitudes in how men and women party members motivate their membership in far-right parties, (2) whether voters perceive women candidates of the far right as more democratic and socially acceptable than men candidates of the far right, (3) how femonationalist party discourse reduces the stigma of far-right parties, (4) constellations of gender- and sexuality-related attitudes among far-right supporters, and (5) explanations for gender differences in far-right support.
