Abstract

This panel zooms in on adolescence as formative period for democratic and good citizenship norms. It brings together papers which examine how schools, gendered values, elite performance and broader processes of democratic backsliding shape youth civic orientations. This panel therefore accentuates both the raptures and continuity in young people's democratic citizenship today.
