Abstract

Part 1: Pre-Conference Workshop Title: Beyond a Career Strategy in Times of Increased Precarity: Sharing Early Career Journeys and Building Solidarities This workshop aims to build collective strategies to understand and counter increased precarity in higher education across academic and geographical contexts. What are the structural changes taking place in higher education in your context? How have these affected possible career paths for early career scholars and introduced new challenges? How are these new challenges shaped by the existing intersecting structural inequalities in academia? How can we build solidarities and forms of collective struggle across contexts and career stages? Part 2: Meet the Editors Get crucial insights into the publication process and tips directly from the editors! Publishing is a cornerstone of academic advancement, allowing researchers to share their work with the wider scholarly community. In this session EDITORS of PULICATION(S) will share their insights as accomplished researchers and journal editors. Join this workshop to: - Gain practical tips on how to navigate the intricate journey to getting published; - Discover strategies for publishing on marginalised topics; - Learn how to overcome challenges and publish even without institutional support at your home university. (Organised by the Standing Group on Gender and Politics)
