Abstract

Issue ownership plays an important role in linking voters to parties and the concept of issue ownership is getting increasing attention in both the voter and party literatures. Recent research, thus, has uncovered different dimensions of issue ownership and explored its roots at both the micro and macro levels. The panel is intended to bring together scholars working along these lines in order to extend our understanding of the causes and effects of issue ownership.
