Abstract

Although there is a thriving literature in political theory on the admission of immigrants for permanent settlement, relatively little attention has been paid to two other questions which merit careful reflection: (1) the admission of temporary labour migrants; and (2) the integration of immigrants once admitted. This panel seeks to address both of these under-theorized issues, offering papers which propose or challenge various conceptions of justice in immigrant integration, and papers which interrogate the distinctive problems raised by temporary migration.
