Abstract

This panel offers critical examination of developments in green political theory set against the backdrop of the climate change crisis. When insights from social and political theory (e.g., Beck, Rawls, Laclau) are applied to complex environmental issues, there are opportunities to challenge established political ideologies as well as to develop new models and frameworks for understanding our contemporary ecological predicament.
