To fully understand political preferences and voting behavior, it is essential to consider a wide variety of perspectives. As of recent, interdisciplinary research has made great strides towards identifying key situational and dispositional factors associated with predicting electoral behavior. In this panel, a rich collection of alternative accounts is explored, containing insights from political science and political psychology. We believe the collection of papers in this panel which should inform our audience about the complex and intricate socio-psychological processes involved in political behaviour.
