This panel proposes to analyse the concepts of everyday peace/violence through a feminist lens. It builds on the idea that an understanding of everyday peace/violence can only be conceptualised by grounding it in situated practices seen through a feminist perspective. It brings together case studies that analyse the different ways in which forms of (slow) violence are met with practices of everyday/slow peace. It aims to bring together local practices situated in the global North and South. We seek to address the following dimensions of everyday peace/violence, such as dis/embodied experience and practice, institutional and non-institutionalised practices, challenges to state-centric or donor-driven approaches (e.g. UNSCR 1325).
