Abstract

The panel deals with the challenges facing developing countries in their efforts to mobilize domestic resources. Academic research has identified several factors that influence the emergence and credibility of fiscal contracts in countries of the Global South. Key topics to be treated in the panel include factors influencing tax compliance at the national and international level as well as political conditions shaping tax bargaining.
