Abstract

This Panel seeks to bring together theoretically informed empirical research in public administration and comparative policy analysis on organizational structures and routines created to facilitate policy integration. What is the organizational dimension of policy integration? Do political commitments to policy integration entail organizational changes? Which differences exist between different political regime types and their choices with regard to policy integration through organizational coordination? These are the three main research questions guiding the Panel. We welcome both conceptual and empirical pieces that engage with any of the three research questions, ideally by adopting a comparative perspective.
