Abstract

This Panel assesses the achievements and challenges of the cross-regional comparative research agenda on ‘regional powers’ in world politics. It looks at methodological and conceptual issues related to the expansion of the universe of cases and instances of decline, and argues in favour of greater interdisciplinarity.
