Abstract

Effective committees and other internal organizational structures play a key role in the successful functioning of legislatures. Outside of the setting of the US Congress, our understanding of these key institutions remains limited. This panel aims at exploring the processes that govern the character, content, composition, and impact of internal organizational structures in a comparative perspective.
