This panel focuses on the patterns of political participation of immigrant-origin citizens in home and host countries. In doing so, it comparatively discusses the evolution of migrants’ voting behaviour from a transnational perspective. Furthermore, the papers included in this panel will also examine how different contextual (legal, electoral, and party-related) variables and group-related factors shape migrants’ conventional and unconventional modes of political engagement in origin and destination countries.
