Abstract

The repertoire of political participation seems to be constantly expanding. The academic debate on this development is very rich. The panel is going to address the following questions: • What forms of participation are emerging? • How and why do they replace of ‘old’ forms of participation? • What are the consequences of these developments? • Why do some social groups prefer specific forms of action to others? • How can we sharpen the concept of political participation?
