Abstract

This panel focuses on the interplay between asylum governance on the one hand, and the personal experiences of individuals seeking asylum, on the other hand. In doing so, the panel discusses not only the difficulties that asylum seekers and refugees encounter in terms of integration into the new receiving countries, but it also aims to assess the effectiveness of policy responses to the management of inflows due to forced displacement.
