Abstract

This panel discusses the conceptualizing and operationalizing of democracy from various perspectives. Thereby it focuses on the one hand on different models of democracy, its meanings, and configurations. On the other hand, it looks at colliding national identities and democracy and discusses democracy as a global hybrid concept.
