Abstract

The panel is based on the preliminary work of a Jean Monnet Research Network on Women Leadership in the European Union and the United States, looking at the state of women leadership across 10 ten areas which constitute the fabric of society: gender parity in: parliaments, governments, Courts, military, diplomacy, academia, business, religion, media and sports. The research presented will showcase best-practices and will also elaborate a policy recommendations on how to further enhance gender parity, especially at the leadership level. Out of the areas considered by the research network, the panel will discuss gender equality in the EU and the US in diplomacy, the military, and sports.
