In this paper we aim at explain what are the instruments through which the relationships between national MPs, on one side, and citizens & interests groups in the other, are carried out in Spain. We will explain to what extent these mechanisms are used and by who, how they are used, in which direction, where and under what circumstances. Our analysis will be based in a qualitative approach (semi-structured interviews with several MPs). We use different criteria to select the targets for the interviews, such as type of party (incumbent/opposition, state-wide/non-State-wide), backbencher/frontbencher, gender, seniority, and kind of constituency.
