As a multi-cultural society and the world’s largest democratic country, India has had an exceptional place in world politics. India’s democratic experience is unique, as a model is therefore a representation of the values of modern liberal democracy; and the adaptation of the political institution to have upheld her own special case. Since her historical legacy, postcolonial issues and diversity required a federal structure with a strong centre. Her constitutional model and institution have shaped in this framework.
This paper aims to analysis fluctuating relations between centre and state and explain regional and national political parties role of this politics. Especially this work try to reveal political parties and coalition politics how to harmonise local and national demands and provide political participation and consensus.
